Melanie von Rickenbach

Melanie von Rickenbach is an Associate and a member of Pestalozzi's Real Estate team in Zurich. She advises Swiss and international companies as well as public-law entities in the areas of real estate, construction and planning law, energy law and public procurement law. Her practice encompasses both transactions and project developments as well as complex contractual, regulatory and public-law matters.

One focus of her practice is advising in connection with real estate and construction projects, particularly on the drafting and negotiation of purchase, lease, contracts for work and services, general contractor, total contractor and planner agreements. Another focus of her practice is litigation in public law, particularly public construction law, procurement law and energy law. In addition, she advises clients on complex public-law and regulatory matters, particularly in environmental and waste law, and provides regulatory support for real estate, infrastructure and energy projects.

Melanie von Rickenbach completed her studies at the University of St. Gallen (M.A. HSG in Law and Economics 2017; B.A. HSG in Law and Economics 2014) and spent an exchange semester at the University of Kristiansand in Norway in 2016. She subsequently worked as a court clerk at the Prättigau/Davos District Court and the Cantonal Court of Schwyz, and as a legal officer for the City of Liestal. She also worked as a trainee lawyer at a Swiss law firm in the Canton of Basel-Landschaft. Following her admission to the bar in 2021, she joined Pestalozzi as an attorney at law.
