Julia Pfister is an Associate in Pestalozzi's Corporate/M&A Group in Zurich. Her main areas of practice include capital markets transactions, stock exchange, securities and capital markets regulation, public take-over law, corporate governance and ESG matters, as well as general contract and commercial law matters.
She advises Swiss and international clients on capital markets and regulatory matters, complex corporate restructurings, joint ventures and investments. Her practice further includes advising on corporate governance matters and compliance with Swiss ESG-related reporting, due diligence and transparency requirements.
Julia advises clients across a variety of sectors, including life sciences (pharma, consumer healthcare and medtech), consumer goods, technology and insurance.
Past and current highlights:
- Advised the Mankel family on CHF 2bn+ transaction to become dormakaba Holding AG's (SIX: DOKA) majority shareholder in connection with the simplification of dormakaba Holding AG's ownership structure;
- Advised AXA XL on the cross-border merger of its Swiss insurance carrier in run-off, XL Insurance Switzerland Ltd, into XL Insurance Company SE, headquartered in Dublin Ireland;
- Advised Johnson & Johnson on R&D funding collaboration with Royalty Pharma;
- Advised Coca-Cola HBC on its acquisition of CCBA.
Julia holds a Bachelor of Law and a Master of Law from the University of Zurich and was admitted to the Swiss Bar in 2025.
