Jonas Sigrist is becoming a new partner and continuing his practice in Pestalozzi‘s Tax department in Zurich.

His field of expertise includes a wide range of international and domestic tax matters. He has a particular focus on tax planning and structuring of international M&A transactions and corporate restructurings. He has also broad experience in tax advice on international employment and employee stock and option plans. Further, he regularly represents clients in tax litigation. His client portfolio varies from multinationals to small and medium-sized companies in life sciences, commodities, financial services, and other sectors.

Jonas Sigrist qualified both as an attorney-at-law and a Swiss Certified Tax Expert. He is a summa cum laude graduate of the University of Zurich, where he specialized in international taxation and social security contributions. Prior to joining Pestalozzi in 2009, Jonas Sigrist gained several years of experience in corporate taxation with a Big4 Company. He has regular speaking engagements and frequently publishes in international tax journals. He is a member of the Zurich and Swiss Bar Association, the International Bar Association (2014-2015 as the taxation section‘s national reporter), the International Fiscal Association, and the Swiss Chamber of Auditors and Tax Experts. Jonas Sigrist practices in English and German and has knowledge of French and Italian.
