Pestalozzi welcomes Matthias Courvoisier as Partner, strengthening the firm's Capital Markets practice

Pestalozzi is pleased to announce that Matthias Courvoisier has joined the firm as a Partner in Zurich.

Matthias is one of Switzerland's leading capital markets lawyers. He advises issuers, shareholders, boards of directors, financial institutions and investors on equity and debt capital markets transactions, public takeovers, corporate governance matters and complex domestic and cross-border M&A transactions.

Over the course of his career, Matthias has acted on numerous landmark and innovative transactions in the Swiss market, including the first Swiss-listed SPAC and the inaugural listings under the China-Switzerland Stock Connect program. His experience includes advising listed companies, banks, investors and entrepreneurs on IPOs, rights offerings, bond issuances, liability management transactions, public M&A and strategic acquisitions.

Matthias is ranked Band 1 for Capital Markets by Chambers and recognised as a Leading Partner by The Legal 500. He holds a doctorate in law from the University of Zurich, awarded summa cum laude, and a Master in Finance from London Business School, which he completed with distinction. He is also a member of the Editorial Board of CapLaw and regularly publishes and speaks on capital markets and corporate law topics.
