Pestalozzi advises Shire in the integration work in connection with the acquisition of Baxalta and the transfer of Baxalta's Swiss business from Zurich to Zug
Shire PLC (LON: SHP) a company active in the rare disease pharmaceuticals market, acquired Baxalta immediately after the spin-off and listing of Baxalta from Baxter. The Swiss local business shall ultimately be merged into the Swiss subsidiary of Shire. Pestalozzi was mainly retained to advise on the transfer of employees and mass dismissal procedures in connection with the transfer of the business. The corporate merger shall take place at a later stage.
