Privacy Policy for Events

This privacy policy sets out how we, Pestalozzi Attorneys at Law Ltd., Feldeggstrasse 4, 8008 Zurich, Switzerland, as the responsible party, process your personal data when you are invited to an event organized and/or hosted by Pestalozzi.

1. Invitation

For the invitation dispatch, we collect and use your e-mail address, first and last name, and optionally company name in order to invite you to the event and process your registration.

We only transfer the personal data collected in connection with the invitation to our service provider who carries out and manages the electronic dispatch on our behalf. This service provider, currently The Rocket Science Group LLC d/b/a Mailchimp, stores its data primarily in the US. In order to achieve an adequate level of data protection for the transfer of personal data to the US in accordance with Swiss law, we have concluded so-called standard data protection clauses (based on the model clauses adopted by the European Commission, with their adaptations to Swiss law) with our service provider. In addition, Byteful GmbH has access to the data processed during the dispatch of the invitation as part of its maintenance work.

Our invitation may also contain a tracking pixel or a similar technical function that enables a statistical analysis of the invitation's dispatch. The statistical analysis allows conclusions about individuals and therefore includes personal data about your interaction with our invitation.

2. Registration

For registration to our events, you provide us and we process your e-mail address, first and last name, optionally company name, as well as any other information provided based on your own initiative.

We only transfer the personal data collected in connection with the registration to our service provider who carries out and manages the electronic registration process on our behalf. This service provider, currently RSVPify, LLC, stores its data primarily in the US. RSVPify may also automatically collect technical information (such as your IP address, mobile device ID, or browser type) and usage information (such as location data, preferred language, the parts of the services you have visited, which links you have clicked and other information about how you interact with the services). In order to achieve an adequate level of data protection for the transfer of data to the US in accordance with Swiss law, we have concluded so-called standard data protection clauses (based on the model clauses adopted by the European Commission, with their adaptations to Swiss law) with our service provider. 3. Event Participation and Visit to Pestalozzi

For your participation at the event and during the event, we use your first and last name, and optionally company name in order to welcome you to the event and introduce you to fellow participants (e.g. by means of a nametag).

During the event, we may take pictures of you, which might be published on our intranet for corporate communications and/or on our website as well as on social media for marketing purposes. If you do not wish us to take pictures of you or in case you do not want us to publish your pictures, please indicate this to a Pestalozzi representative at the event.

In addition, explicitly marked premises, in particular at the entrance to our building, are monitored by video security recording for security purposes.

4. Additional Information

We only store your personal data for as long as necessary for the purposes set out above.

If you do not wish to be invited to future events, please contact us at datainquiry@pestalozzilaw.com or unsubscribe via the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the invitation. Please contact us at the same e-mail address or by postal mail at the above-indicated address if you wish to exercise any rights provided for by data protection law.

We may amend this privacy policy at any time without prior notice or separate communication. This privacy policy does not form part of any contract. The current version of this privacy policy published in the invitation applies.
