Pestalozzi advises Sony and Mubadala in connection with the acquisition of EMI Music Publishing
The acquisition of EMI Music Publishing will be made by a consortium of investors comprising Sony, Mubadala, Jynwel Capital Limited, GSO Capital Partners LP (a business unit of the Blackstone Group), EMI West LLC, and the estate of Michael Jackson. Sony/ATV Music Publishing LLC (a music publishing joint venture owned by Sony and the Michael Jackson Estate) will be appointed to act as the exclusive administrator of the EMI Music Publishing catalogue. Pestalozzi advised Sony and Mubadala on Swiss merger control matters.
