Flavors Holdings Inc., the parent of Mafco Worldwide Corporation, a manufacturer of licorice extract and related derivatives, acquired Merisant Company, a manufacturer and marketer of several of the world’s leading tabletop sweeteners, including the brands Equal, Canderel and Pure Via. Flavors Holdings Inc. is an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of MacAndrews & Forbes Holdings Inc. Pestalozzi advised Flavors Holdings Inc. on all Swiss legal aspects of the transaction.
