Seminar 1: Towards Greater Efficiency in International Arbitration
The topic of the 11th Annual Arbitration Conference is "Towards Greater Efficiency in International Arbitration". The program will address a wide range of issues concerning efficiency in international arbitration. What does efficiency mean in international arbitration – and what can be done to improve? What is the client's, the counsel's, and the institution's view on efficiency? How can technology assist to make arbitration proceedings more efficient?
On Saturday, 29 June 2019, Pestalozzi associate Lukas Rusch will moderate a panel on "Who pays the bill? Separate deposits, security for costs, and allocation of costs".

Seminar 2: Medicines and medical devices in the EU Single Market: Dreams and reality
The Healthcare Seminar will focus on the free movement of goods in the context of the European Single Market. Practical insights will be given by in-house and external counsels, for instance on parallel imports or the implementation of the Falsified Medicines Directive.
On Friday, 28 June 2019, Pestalozzi senior associate Janine Reudt-Demont will moderate a panel on the impact of the new MDRs on study agreements and distribution contracts. The panel will not only address transparency, liability and data protection implications, but also the interesting question whether the "Metro-criteria" applicable to selective distribution systems as recently confirmed in the Coty-case could also apply to medical devices.
