Pestalozzi represented a bank in criminal proceedings against its former directors and auditors who were accused of disloyal management and forgery during the years preceding the discovery in 2000 of billions of losses that forced the bank's recapitalization. This was the largest ever criminal investigation and civil state court disputes. This representation included 10 years of previous criminal Investigation, more than 5 months daily trial in court and several civil proceedings involving dozens of parties, as well as negotiations of a global settlement by which the former auditors ended up to pay CHF 110 million.
