Markus Winkler is Counsel working in our Zurich office. His practice focuses on the TMT and financial services including insurance sectors.
Markus Winkler advises his clients in all areas of IT law, in particular software licensing agreements, IT outsourcing and data related projects (e.g. sourcing financial or ESG-related data, software for analytical purposes, AML, electronic archiving or HR management). He is an experienced expert in data protection law.
He has assisted clients with implementing e-commerce business models, cloud computing, business process outsourcing (e.g. KYC, compliance, or securities operations), e-mobility and more recently the use of various artificial intelligence systems.
Prior to practicing law, Markus Winkler worked for more than 10 years at a large international banking group in various business roles in Basel, Zurich and Weehawken NJ.
