Milivoje Mitrovic is an associate and member of Pestalozzi's Litigation & Arbitration Group in Zurich. His main areas of practice are commercial litigation and arbitration, debt enforcement and contract law.
Milivoje Mitrovic graduated from the University of St. Gallen in 2019 (M.A. HSG in Law and Economics). During his studies, he worked as a research assistant to Prof. Dr. Anne van Aaken (Chair for Law & Economics), Prof. Dr. Dr. Peter Sester (Chair for International Business Law and Law and Economics) and Prof. Dr. Beat Brändli (Chair of Finance, Financial Law and Law and Economics, former "IFF-HSG") and completed several internships at leading Swiss law firms.
Milivoje completed his academic achievements with a Ph.D. in law (Dr. iur. HSG) in the field of Swiss contract law, focusing on unilateral adaptation clauses in general terms and conditions. Milivoje's dissertation was awarded with the Walther Hug-Price Switzerland 2022/2023, the Walther Hug-Price St. Gallen 2021/2022 and the Rudolf Mäder-Price 2021/2022. During his Ph.D. studies, Milivoje also published articles in the field of international commercial arbitration and international sales law (CISG).
Before joining Pestalozzi as an associate in 2024, Milivoje worked at the Cantonal Court of Zug and as a lecturer for contract law at the University of St. Gallen. He was admitted to the Swiss bar and as a civil notary in the canton of Zug in 2023.
