Linda Stewart-Smith

Her practice covers both contentious and non-contentious intellectual property matters, including patent litigation, trademark disputes, unfair competition litigation, licensing, R&D agreements, branding strategies, know-how protection and IP-related commercial agreements. Linda also advises on pharmaceutical and healthcare regulatory matters, administrative proceedings, product regulation, data protection, technology-focused commercial and licensing arrangements, and the IP and IT aspects of cross-border transactions. Linda further advises on product liability, tort litigation, and international judicial assistance matters.

Before joining Pestalozzi, she worked at the Federal Office of Public Health and the District Court of Zurich, where she gained substantial experience in administrative, civil and criminal proceedings, international judicial assistance, regulatory matters and litigation strategy. Since joining Pestalozzi in January 2026, she has become an integral member of the firm's IP and Life Sciences team.

Linda Stewart-Smith graduated from the University of Zurich in 2019 (Master of Law), having spent a year at Sciences Po in Paris. After graduation, she worked at the Swiss Mission to the EU in Brussels and the Federal Office of Public Health. Subsequently, she worked as a law clerk at the District Court of Zurich and later assumed the role of senior law clerk. After her admission to the Swiss bar in 2025, Linda Stewart-Smith joined Pestalozzi as an associate in January 2026.
