Evelyn V. Frei

Evelyn V. Frei advises and litigates for domestic and international business as well as private clients. Her experience includes commercial and residential leases, sales, pledges and encumbrances of real properties, building and other work contracts, real estate transactions including public private partnerships and all types of environmental issues. Evelyn is frequently consulted on compliance and other regulatory matters such as environmental regulations concerning companies or the acquisition of real properties by non-Swiss residents. She advises private clients and companies such as hotel groups in building permit procedures. In environmental law, in addition to regulatory areas, Evelyn also advises on the new challenges facing companies, such as emissions trading.

In the energy sector, Evelyn has profound knowledge of the electricity production and transmission industry including hydropower concessions and regulatory issues. She regularly litigates for hydro power plants.

Evelyn V. Frei graduated from the University of Zurich (MLaw, 2014). After graduation, Evelyn gained professional experience at a boutique law firm in Schwyz and as a court clerk at the Administrative Court of Schwyz where she focused on public law and real estate matters. After her admission to the bar she joined Pestalozzi as an associate in 2018.

Evelyn Frei is admitted to all courts in Switzerland. She also publishes regularly in her fields of expertise.
