Severin Etzensperger is an associate and member of Pestalozzi’s IP & TMT, Competition & Trade and Life Sciences Groups in Zurich. He specializes in intellectual property, healthcare, contract and distribution law as well as unfair competition and antitrust law. He advises and represents domestic and foreign clients from a broad range of industries and has a particular in depth knowledge in the life sciences, media and automotive industries.
Severin Etzensperger supports clients in drafting, reviewing and negotiating distribution, licensing, R&D and other commercial and transactional agreements, also as part of national and international M&A transactions, with a specific attention to intellectual property and antitrust related aspects. He regularly advises manufacturers and service providers in contractual, regulatory and compliance matters concerning medical devices, pharmaceuticals and other regulated products.
In addition, he represents clients before governmental authorities and Swiss courts in administrative investigations and merger control proceedings as well as civil litigations in particular in matters related to unfair competition and antitrust as well as intellectual property and product liability.
Severin Etzensperger graduated from the University of Zurich in 2014 with highest distinction (Bachelor and Master of Law, both summa cum laude). During his studies, he was nominated by the Faculty of Law of the University of Zurich to spend an exchange semester at the Chicago-Kent College of Law (Chicago, USA) and also worked part-time as an assistant at the Chair of Commercial, Business and Intellectual Property Law at the University of Zurich. Following his graduation, he gained experience in different fields of law as a trainee and deputy law clerk at the District Court of Zurzach and as a junior associate with Pestalozzi. After his admission to the Swiss bar in 2017, Severin Etzensperger rejoined Pestalozzi as an associate.
